About Octagon Cards

UFC card identification, checklists and recorded sales.

Who runs Octagon Cards?

Code Cowboy Limited, a company registered in Hong Kong, runs Octagon Cards. We are independent of the UFC, Topps and Panini. Our terms identify the operator and explain the service.

Use the scanner to identify a card from a photo, then check the suggested match against its year, card number and parallel. The catalogue has checklists, card photos, recorded sales and price estimates. A scanner match can be wrong, so those details matter.

How we research the guides

Our guides appear under the Octagon Cards byline. We use AI tools to help research, draft and edit them. We check factual claims against source material and keep the evidence for each guide.

For a release or parallel, we look for manufacturer checklists and odds documents, then compare the wording with card photos. We distinguish what the manufacturer says from what our catalogue records. When sources disagree, we explain the disagreement. The SSP guide shows why a seller's rarity label needs checking against the actual product documentation.

Prices, sale counts and catalogue observations in a guide belong to the stated evidence date. They can change after publication. A photograph illustrates the visible card; it does not establish a print run, prove authenticity or guarantee that another copy is identical.

What the prices and rankings mean

A recorded sale is evidence of one transaction in our records. Our coverage is incomplete, and a card may sell elsewhere without appearing here. Check the edition, sale date and condition before treating a price as a comparison for your card.

An estimated value draws on the sales available to Octagon. It is an estimate for an edition, not an appraisal of your copy or an offer to buy it. We may withhold an estimate when the evidence is insufficient or conflicting. The valuation guide explains how to read the figures alongside individual sales.

Card for Card compares fighters through card sales. It is a separate measure from the price of any one card. The ranking methodology explains the comparisons, eligibility rules and uncertainty.

Corrections

Found a wrong parallel, sale match or statement in a guide? Use the flag on the relevant card or sale, or contact us with the page address and the evidence we should check. A card photo, manufacturer document or original sale listing helps us investigate.

Substantive changes to a guide receive an updated date. Dates attached to historical sales and source snapshots stay with that evidence; a new edit does not make an old price current.
